When your life flashes before your eyes in a flood gate of memories… This time of year (August thru October) holds a lot of memories. But before I get into that let me explain why.
For seven years, starting in August 2010, I was sick; having severe left side pain that ripped into my gut. I choose an all natural route of healing to cure whatever was going on deep inside my body. For the first 5 years I got by, struggling at times, but it finally came to the point where I needed serious help.
It was now year #5 and my health was at a critical point. I was malnourished, weak, pale, and having symptoms that were pages long. I was also depressed.
Year #5 was a turning point in my health. I got to the core issue, which included Pancreatic Cancer. I worked with many a Naturopathic Doctors before logging on with a Functional Health Doctor based out of Austin, TX, who was a vital key to turning my health around.
It took a total of 7 years to reverse my health. Now, as I stand here writing today, I’m sharing my story. During all the years when I was sick, I had journaled on a daily basis, which helped me immensely in healing. I first thought I’d write a book. So I did. But, I chose not to publish it. I will use those many chapters of writings a lot in my blog. As I write, sharing my story in honest, open truth about my health, my life, my emotions, and my thoughts, I have my journals and unpublished book to look back on. My story is raw and personal. That’s about as real as it gets, right?
As I write, I will also be asking some people that were apart of my healing journey to write, sharing their thoughts, perspectives, and insights to help better understand what it was like living with, working with, or dealing with someone who was ill and depressed.
As a woman who has nearly lost her life because of her health, I can’t say how thankful I am to have my health back and restored tenfold! I’d like to say “thank you” from the bottom of my heart to everyone who walked alongside me on this journey (physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually). Also, to those that played a part in my healing. And to those that crossed paths with me during this gnarly season of my life, thanks too. And lastly, to those who are and have helped make sharing my story possible. THANK YOU!
My health has come full circle. And now my story from dis-ease to ease coming full circle. With that being said, I cordially invite you to embark with me on my journey, “It’s Your Life And Your Choice To Let The Healing Begin”.
